Balanced Mandates

Since the implementation of the second pillar pension fund system in 1985 we have successfully and actively managed balanced pension fund mandates.

We pursue an active and focused investment style with a clear-cut investment process and emphasis on active tactical shifts between asset classes:

  • Tactical Asset Allocation is the key to performance
  • Maturity and duration management as well as credit quality analysis are paramount for fixed-income investments
  • For stock selection, we pursue a three-stage approach. First step focuses on the regional and country allocation, second step concentrates on sector allocation and third step includes the fundamental bottom-up stock selection.

A balanced pension fund mandate is a concentrated portfolio with a limited number of positions. Our portfolios may deviate substantially from index development and are designed for an investment horizon of 3-5 years.
